  • "We / Us / Our" means Perdana Amanah, a legal practice at Jalan Pinang 33, 50450 Kuala Lumpur.
  • "You / User" means any person visiting this website or engaging our services.
  • "Services" means the family law consultation, separation and divorce assistance, and child custody and maintenance services described on this website.
  • "Content" means text, images, documents, and other materials published on this website.

Services

We offer legal services relating to family matters in Malaysia. The scope of any engagement will be set out in a separate engagement letter or service agreement provided to you before work commences.

Website content is provided for general information only and does not constitute legal advice. No solicitor-client relationship is formed until both parties have signed a formal engagement letter.

We will endeavour to respond to all enquiries within two working days. Service availability may vary based on professional commitments and court schedules.

Fees & Payment

Fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes where stated. Payment terms will be specified in your engagement letter.

Work on disbursements (court filing fees, process server charges, etc.) will be communicated separately and invoiced at cost. Refunds, where applicable, will be assessed on a case-by-case basis in line with professional obligations.

Confidentiality

All information you share with us in connection with your matter is treated as confidential. We will not disclose it to any third party without your consent, except where required by law, court order, or our professional obligations under the Legal Profession Act 1976 (Malaysia).

Legal professional privilege applies to confidential communications made for the purpose of obtaining legal advice. We take this obligation seriously.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of this website or from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including delays caused by courts, third parties, or force majeure events).

Termination

Either party may terminate a service engagement by giving reasonable written notice. We may cease acting for you if continued representation would create a conflict of interest, you provide false information, or fees remain unpaid after reasonable notice.

Upon termination, you will be responsible for fees and disbursements incurred up to the date of termination. We will return your documents to you promptly, subject to any lien we may hold under Malaysian law.

Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute shall first be referred to informal resolution by written notice. If not resolved within 30 days, either party may refer the matter to the courts of Kuala Lumpur, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Disputes relating to professional conduct may also be referred to the Malaysian Bar Council in accordance with its complaint procedures.

General Provisions

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, together with any signed engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between us and supersede any earlier discussions.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of our rights.
  • Assignment: You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent.

Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. We will note the effective date of any revision at the top of this document. Your continued use of our website after changes are posted indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
